西武隊今天跟經典賽中國大陸隊進行熱身賽，結果西武隊終場以5:0獲勝，但中國大陸「大谷翔平」捕手孟偉強的表現令人印象深刻，西武總教練辻發彥表示：「他當捕手又當外野手，又能當投手跟打指定打擊，簡直是四刀流啊！」
孟偉強不僅是中國大陸隊當家四棒，而且能守的位置很多，除了本職捕手外，今天他擔任左外野手也有美技演出。
此戰7局下，西武隊無人出局一、三壘有人，孟偉強接殺後，將球一口氣傳到本壘觸殺金子侑司，展現出雷射肩助殺，8局下他更直接上場投球。
結果孟偉強最後只被打出高飛犧牲打失1分，最快球速144公里，中國大陸隊總教練John McLaren稱他為「中國大陸隊的大谷翔平」。
